Hoogwegt Becomes First Buyer of Opalia’s Cell-Based Whole Milk, Will Test It in Cheese, Yoghurt and Butter
Dutch dairy ingredients group Hoogwegt will take the first production batch of Opalia’s mammary-cell whole milk at Fi Europe on 17 November to test in fresh cheese, yoghurt and butter, as the Montreal start-up builds a 28-litre-a-day bioreactor and targets a Health Canada filing in mid-2027.
